Need a shot blaster for your concrete floor project? Pantheon Surface Prep provides shot blasters for sale and for rent across the USA and worldwide. We ship anywhere in the United States. Or stop by our Colorado store location in Denver or our store in Orange County, CA.
How A Shot Blaster Works
A shot blaster is a heavy duty machine that launches a substantial quantity of steel at the surface of a concrete floor, which serves to remove the very top layer of a surface. This is also called abrasive blasting.
As part of the process, the metal shot material is continuously recaptured and sent again at the surface. The entire shot blasting process is virtually dust free. As layers and dust are removed from the concrete surface, they end up in the shot blaster's dust collector. As a result, the shot blaster rentals that we offer provide a nearly dust-free experience.
Shot blasting can also be considered eco-friendly. No harsh chemicals or water are required as part of the process of using a shot blaster.
The brands of floor grinders we offer include - but aren't limited to the following:
- Bartell Global
Shot Blaster Applications
The applications for shot blaster use are numerous for concrete polishing and general construction applications. A shot blaster is great for concrete prep and can easily clear away layers that have been applied to concrete - like adhesives and paint. A shot blaster also excels at clearing away rubber or scuff marks that may be present on commercial concrete floors.
Shot blasters are also adept at making the concrete floor surface rough so that coatings and sealants can be applied and will properly adhere to the rough service.
